On Saturday, July 18, 2026, The Parodneck Foundation, in collaboration with New York City Councilmember Chris Banks, hosted the Older Adults Resource Fair on Vermont Street between Linden Boulevard and Stanley Avenue from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The event was designed to connect older adults with valuable community resources while promoting health, wellness, and active living in a welcoming neighborhood environment.

The fair brought together a diverse group of community organizations, nonprofits, healthcare providers, and public agencies that offered information, services, and support tailored to the needs of older adults. Attendees enjoyed resource booths, refreshments, giveaways, and opportunities to engage directly with organizations dedicated to improving quality of life for seniors. The event emphasized the message “Feel Better, Live Better, Start Here!” and encouraged participants to learn about programs that promote wellness, independence, and community engagement.

The event was made possible through the support of numerous community partners, including local government agencies, healthcare organizations, legal service providers, utilities, and nonprofit organizations. Their participation demonstrated a shared commitment to ensuring older adults have access to essential services, health resources, and educational opportunities that help them thrive.
